red dress Weekend

Every fall semester, alumnae, parents, faculty and students alike, flock to Columbia for the event of the season: Omicron's Red Dress Weekend. This weekend of celebration consists of the Red Dress Gala and the Red Dress Poker Tournament to raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation. We have a blast raising funds and awareness for a cause that is close to our hearts.

Our newest philanthropy event on campus is called Alpha Phifa! This event is a soccer tournament open to different organizations on campus, including fraternities and athletes. Held in the spring semester, this event raises money for our beneficiary, Women’s Heart Health.

Annual Late-Night Fundraiser

In our efforts to raise funds for heart health year round, Alpha Phi holds a late night food philanthropy event in the chapter house! Our Alpha Phizza event is for everyone on campus! The entire Mizzou community is invited to join the women of Alpha Phi for a night filled with fun and all you can eat pizza.

MU'S GREEK WIDE EVENTS

Each year, Alpha Phi participates in a number of philanthropic events. Whether we're dancing  for 13.1 hours for MizzouThon or helping to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis for RAMS (Alpha Phi placed 2nd!), Omicron loves to get involved in our campus philanthropy events. We have taken our involvement with MizzouThon to the next level by participating in their Adopt-A-Family program. This means we are paired with our amazing miracle child Declan and his family! Declan is a young boy who has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy, but this doesn’t stop him from smiling as well as getting everyone to smile that he comes into contact with! This year at Mizzouthon, we were the third top fundraiser!

On top of the campus philanthropic events, Omicron also participates in a number of our Greek community’s philanthropic events such as Sigma Chi's Derby Days, Phi Kappa Alpha’s Pikestock, Delta Sigma Phi’s Dog Days, Chi Omega’s Wish Week, and Phi Kappa Theta’s Greek Gauntlet - just to name a few!

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Alpha Phi offers its members a number of opportunities each semester to volunteer at a variety of organizations and give back to the Columbia community. Many of our sisters volunteer at local hospitals, food banks and after school programs. We love getting the opportunity to give back to a community we love so much!

Parties for declan

Each year, we host multiple parties to raise money for our Miracle Child and his family! This spring, we held a party at Lazer Lanes and enjoyed bowling, laser tag, bumper cars and more with Declan!
